Coffee in Zürich: Our Showroom in Oerlikon
Zürich has more coffee bars per block than most Swiss cities – and yet it's not that easy to find out which coffee actually suits you. That's exactly why we have our showroom in Oerlikon.
Where we are in Zürich
Our showroom here is at Hagenholzstrasse 50b, 8050 Zürich, in district 11, Oerlikon. Open Tuesday to Saturday, 10h to 17h. Oerlikon is easily reached from the main station by S-Bahn in just a few minutes, plus tram and bus.
That's deliberately not the city centre. A showroom needs space: for machines you can actually switch on, for a grinder you're allowed to turn yourself, and for a table where three cups can stand side by side without anyone getting in the way.
What you can do here
- taste and compare several coffees side by side
- see espresso machines and coffee grinders in action, not just on paper
- join a barista workshop – here's how it works
- take some freshly roasted coffee beans home with you
- ask whatever you want – even the things everyone supposedly already knows
We don't have an opinion on how you should drink your coffee. Espresso straight, cappuccino with oat milk, filter coffee by the litre: it's all right if it tastes good to you. Our job is to help you find the one that does.

Coffee in Zürich – an honest note
The city has a great coffee scene, and we're happy to point you elsewhere too. A showroom isn't a café: you come to us when you want to find out something about coffee or buy something. If you want to sit with your laptop for two hours, you're better off in one of the many cafés – and that's not a contradiction, it's a division of labour.
And if you want to keep progressing at home?
Then start with what matters most, not what costs the most. Fresh beans and the right grind bring more than the next machine upgrade. How to dial in your espresso without a stopwatch is in our Espresso Dial-in; how pour-over works is in the V60 guide.
