Moccamaster's copper heating element keeps the water between 92 and 96 °C – the range in which the aromatic compounds dissolve in a round, balanced way. Brewed too cold, coffee quickly turns sharp; too hot, rather harsh; the Cup One hits that window from the first drop to the last. The used grounds in the filter then simply go onto the compost, with no plastic or aluminum waste at all.
